Pastor Jeffrey StreatorRev. Dr. Jeffrey Streator was born and raised in Pasadena, CA. While a sophomore in high school, Rev. Streator accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. After graduating high school, he attended Harvard University in Cambridge, MA where he majored in Engineering Sciences. He then undertook graduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley, where he attained Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Since 1990, Rev. Streator has been a faculty member in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Rev. Streator joined Big Bethel A.M.E. Church of Atlanta, GA in 1992. In 1994, Rev. Streator accepted his call to the ministry. He became an Ordained Deacon in 1998 and an Ordained Elder in 2001. In 2000, Rev. Streator received his first pastoral appointment at Summer Hill AME Church in Rome, Georgia, where he served for 16 years. Since June, 2016, Rev. Streator has served as Pastor of Greater Mount Carmel A.M.E. Church in Doraville, Georgia. Rev. Streator is the father of 6 children: Micaiah, Janae, Joyce, Janice, Julianne, and Jessica, and is married to Dr. Joycelyn Streator. Rev. Streator and family reside in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. |
